Love it!. The food is great, I get a mixture of seafood with a pile of veggies. Beware of the fresh jalapenos, they are hot! I usually pile them on at other places but only use two or three in my food. I use the Szechuan sauce (not real spicy) and add a little ginger powder and curry powder. This served with udon noodles, I don’t use soy sauce with it. I also order a yummy seaweed salad to start. Staff is friendly and fast. The hard surfaces kinda’ amplifies the noise of the crowd (yes crowd) at lunch along with the clang-clang of the spatulas on the grill but it’s a Mongol grill so that’s the ambiance. I LOVE this place and eat here at least once or twice a week. As for the air conditioning, it works great when I’m there, It’s nice not to have to drive from Pineville all the way over to Khan’s (good place too but I’m glad Genghis is over here). I would guess there is not much foot traffic is because the strip mall is right at Hwy 28 East. I do find it funny that so many Mongol grills do not serve lamb and the Mongolian people raise flocks and flocks of them in their nation, but lamb may not be a favorite over here. I wish them many years in business.

Good food, but neglected facility. I love this restaurant. It’s great that we have a Mongolian grill in Pineville, and the food is good. But the last two visits had one major problem…very poor air conditioning. It’s uncomfortably warm unless you happen to be sitting underneath one of the vents that are constantly blowing only slightly cool air. And it’s not like we visited twice in a close time period. Our visits were at least a month apart, so plenty of time to address any issues. The management seems unaware that there is an issue, or perhaps does not care. My gut feeling is this is the explanation for the decline in foot traffic at this otherwise great restaurant.
Love it!!! Just tried it for the first time tonight and am very impressed!!!Got fried rice with strips of beef and shrimp, onion, bell pepper, water chestnuts, cashews and dried chili peppers. I used the General Tso’s sauce with about a 1/2 tsp of sriacha sauce and garlic powder and garlic salt to season (about 1 1/2 tsp all together)It was delicious!
Well guess who doesn’t need to cross the river for some quality Asian cuisine? This guy!
So happy this place is now open! Located in the strip mall next to Burger King, so easy to get to. Has an upbeat vibe with music to match. I was happy with the fresh ingredients (love the jalepenos & bok choy!) as well as the sauce & seasoning choices. There are plenty of meat choices for the carnivores. For those with food allergies let them know and they can guide you on what to choose. At the entrance they have a board with several suggestions for building different kinds of bowls. As per usual, the dinner choices include more seafood than lunch, but that is to be expected. They will begin serving alcohol next month, so I can have a glass of wine before long. Will definitely be back!
