Beautiful old building. The service was very friendly and attentive and the food was great. We received much more food than we could eat.
I’ve been here on several occasions and I can definitely say its obviously just not my choice of places to take my family. I’ve ordered their grilled chicken breast several times and was never satisfied. I always have to eat it with Heinz 57 or some type of steak sauce just to get some taste out of it. Personally, i am quite easily satisfied but this place just doesnt cut it. However, their Italian dressing is okay. And their onion rings are OK as well. Every thing else I have tasted from here just never has taste. It is always bland. And their service was decent although their servers and/or hostesses look like robots walking around the restaurant just doing what they’re told. I don’t think too highly of this place. And I believe it has only been up and running this long because it was Plaquemine’s only dine-in restuarant besides Fat Daddy’s which doesn’t offer too much of a variety of foods.
Best Choice in a Small Town. In a small town where restaurant choices are limited, I am thankful Guidry’s reigns supreme. Service is always prompt and consistent and pricing is fair. The fried pickles are the best in the area and the onion rings are too, light and crispy. The steak my child typically orders is always tender and cooked to perfection. My husband and I love the homemade burgers; yes the burgers are HOMEMADE. If you like seafood, they have grilled and fried choices that have never disappointed us. If you happen to be watching your weight, the salads are an excellent choice. Of course no meal would be complete without dessert; so don’t forget to order the Mississippi Mud Pie or maybe the Milky Way Pie. I don’t care for bread pudding; but those who do like it have told me it is the best in the area…..THE BEST CHOICE IN A SMALL TOWN, GUIDRY’S
It’s A Keeper. The true test of a restaurant is if you will return and yes, this one’s a keeper. The best fried onion rings and fried dill pickles you will find in this area. The steaks are tender and juicy and cooked just right. And if you are looking for a healthy option, the salads sans/without dressing are divine. I will return, yes this one…it’s a keeper…
It was pretty good. I’m visiting from Houston so I wanted to try a local dish. Decided to go with the catfish po boy and it was very tasty. The service was excellent.
Great food, Great prices, Great service…. Great food, great prices, great service, with a little touch of history. My personal favorites are the catfish Atchafalaya, crawfish bisque, and the spaghetti w/meatballs. Start off with the boudin balls and giant cheese sticks for appetizers wash it all down with a few bud lights and dat be a good night sha. I’ve been going there once or twice a month since its opened. Everything on the menu is good and the service is always friendly. The specials are a good bet as well. There’s lots of choices.
Wish it was better. I’ve eaten there seveal times, and most of the time it was good, but not exceptional. Tonight was pretty bad, primarily because of the server (or lack of).– The food was okay 2-stars– Service very poor 0-stars + soup came out with the entree + had to wait 20+ minutes for waitress to pay my bill, and I went to the bar to expedite the process + waitress seemed to have no clue about food serviceHowever, if you get Angie as your waitress, you’ll probablyenjoy your meal much more than I did tonight.
