Best food in LA. As a Texan who stumbled upon this place completely by accident, I have to say this is that best food I have ever eaten. I crave it. I dream about it. I can’t stop thinking about it. Don’t believe me? Get the half and half seafood sammie. I ate mine with fish and crab, but other options are available. Your mouth will weap tears of joy and your belly will groan with sadness because you can’t possibly cram the whole sandwich in there. Seriously, I’m contemplating a tummy expansion surgery, just so I can eat more than one at a time

Big jakes is by far the best place to eat of the westbank. Everything they make is FRESH and that is why you have to wait. And you are paying for a home cooked (not premade) order. I go there three times a week. Your paying for the best. And if u don’t like the best there’s always mcdonalds or boogerking.
Place sux! Extremely expensive for what its worth, take extremely long to make your order, and the fry oil tastes like it hasn’t been changed in months! Will not waste my time or money there again

Big Jake’s is right!. Big Jake’s has the best hamburger in Belle Chasse, I probably would even say the best of the westbank. But you have to be patient for the best…call ahead and then prepare to wait when you get there. But that is alright because good food takes time and Big Jakes is great!
