Not pleased. Not only did we wait 15 or so minutes BEFORE we got our drinks, but waited on refills about the same amount of time. Asked for teriyaki sauce and got it about 20 minutes after asking. Hibachi chef seemed high or just miserable. Wasn’t a pleasant experience at all. Sushi was alright AT BEST. My wife and I have gone to many hibachi and sushi places and this was by far the least pleasing. Sad to say I won’t be going back.
A must try!. My family and I started eating here the very first day it opened. We have never been disappointed. We love the speciality rolls especially. We have eaten off the menu and hibacci as well. A great place, great staff and owners are wonderful. They want to make you happy!
Umi Sushi. I ordered sushi today from this restaurant and I have to say, I like it quite a bit. I don’t think it’s anything to write home about, but not bad by any means. The servers were extremely friendly, helpful and the prices were cheap. I’ll have to return in the future to try the hibachi.
Just another wanna be Japanese restaurant ran by Chinese. I had the yaki soba which wasn’t bad but not the Japanese version. Chicken cut way too large and noodles too small , not bad but not great either. Service was nice and friendly even gave a discount and gave my meal free because they accidentally knocked drink over on me. Just based on taste I prob wouldn’t go back if I’m wanting real Japanese food although I’m not sure that even exist here in NO
Umo hibachi grill. Yesterday I went for the first time, and I was very pleased with the food quality as well as service. We chose to sit by the hibachi grill, and the cook was excellent.I have three kids, 7,4 and 2. And even the little one loved to see what the cook is doing. (he made some nice tricks). Overall I will definately come back. The food was delicious!!!! hibachi grill is definately kids friendly, and I love that, plus we didn’t have to drive far distance. they definately need to advertise more because we found them by accident.
Loves umi!!!!! The food is amazing I am never disappointed. Great service always convenient. 10/5 😀
Just finished eating their chirashi. Average portions. Rice has more seasoning than average. The salmon, white fish and tuna were fine. and then there was the octopus: I think the octopus was pretty old, not so fresh is an understatement, I think it was starting to turn, almost made me gag, the yellowtail was also bad, but maybe my senses were skewed from the octopus. I’ll let you know if I survive the night
