Love it..
The food is just okay! Never consistent and if you order late beware bc the sushi can taste and look old. I have dined in a few times and feel awkward bc the servers are always standing too close staring at you and take your plates immediately. Don’t like that. They also stand there staring as you are signing/ adding a tip at the end. I normally order to go and sometimes do enjoy the food. Our norm order is various sushi and hibachi rice.
Don’t Bother. Service from the bar and the servers is painfully slow. The waiter not only couldn’t open a bottle of wine, he couldn’t pronounce the name. We pointed to the wine and asked 3 times for it to be brought to the table. This was a party of 7. Added a tip even though the policy was for parties of 8 or more. The server claimed it was his discretion to add a gratuity for a party of any size. Served raw chicken. meals came out sporadically. Pitiful.
It wasn’t really a terrible experience, but I wouldn’t call it good either. The waitress didn’t speak English so she couldnt answer my questions. I had the Louisiana and it would have been MUCH better without all the tempura. Still, it was fresh, it came on time, and it filled me up, despite the fact that I had to tear it apart to get rid of the tempura.
Delicious sushi and food!. Kobe is a great restaurant. They have some of the best sushi around – and it’s in LaPlace! One of our favorites is the Rock & Roll – tempura shrimp wrapped in rice with snowcrab salad on top! YUM! The last 2 times we have visited we ate hibachi and sushi. Both delicious! The servers have always been nice and attentive to us. This is not an inexpensive restaurant…sushi rolls run $5 -$15, hibachi $17-$35, teriyaki -$15-$17. We think the food is worth it. (I would not want cheap sushi….) Our last visit was on a Friday night and the place was full. That made us happy because for the restaurant to survive, we have to support it. I do not hesitate in recommending Kobe. It is one of our favorite restaurants in LaPlace.
Worst service ever!! very rude employees. Worst experience with restaurants!! Will never go back!!! Way over priced too!!
THEY STEAL! a couple and I went for a nice meal and the service was great…until the next morning when we checked our accounts and saw that they had given themselves a 15% tip ON TOP of what we each left!!! Who gives them the right to charge MY account with what THEY THINK they deserve! Who the he’ll do they think they are and how many times have they done this to other patrons!?!?!?!!!!
