A must-stop in Shreveport, but go for the funk and not the BBQ. There’s better to be found, but where else can you hear classic R&B blaring on the speakers, visit with the founder himself chillin’ in a recliner, order from the friendly, toothless server, and have your car detailed at the same time? The chopped beef sandwich was more like a sloppy joe, and there was too much ketchup in the sauce, but all in all it was ok. Be sure to sit outside to capture the full ambience of a sultry, sleepy Southern afternoon.
