Really like this place. We had the shrimp & grits, croque monsieur and snickerdoodle cookie. All were delicious. Especially the cookies.
My wife and I both had the baked potato soup. It was amazingly delicious. I also had the roast beef sandwich, which I didn’t care for. The beef was really juicy and made the bun soggy. I finally ate it with a fork or most of it. The flavor of the beef wasn’t a traditional roast beef flavor. I don’t know what the flavoring was, but be aware it’s different. My wife didn’t care for their smoked flavored chicken salad either. She left most of it on the plate. Soups and chicken salad and roast beef was $30.
Love it. Me and my mom go here all the time and we have never had bad food. My favorite is the biscotti’s melt and the trio salad with their smoked chicken salad. The fried avocado appetizer is really good too. The only thing I don’t like is one of their servers. We have had her several times and she is rude and pushy. Had to ask for refills and then brought the check when we got our food and never came back.
Very good, cute little boutique lunch spot!
Great sandwiches. Must try their version of the cuban. An innovative remake with a hefty size. Great desserts and delicious coffee.
Lunch with the Ladies. Went recently with the wife and her grandmother. I had never been before and really didn’t even know this place existed. I thought that there was a sandwich shop of some kind inside the Lewis’ gift store. I was the only guy in the room and felt I had wondered into some secret ‘girl world’. I have to say I kind of expected to leave hungry as I was certain it would be a little on the light side for me. Boy was I wrong!I had the shrimp po-boy and a cup of soup, wife had the avocado sandwich and grandma had a grape and chicken salad sandwich. Everyone loved everything. The only issue we had was with the avocado sandwich. She asked for it toasted and without mayo. The first time it came out with mayo and the second time it wasn’t toasted. It was frustrating. She didn’t want to send it back a second time so she ate it, but I told our server and she apologized, though she actually never offered to correct the issue. She wasn’t rude, and she did make sure our drinks were full so maybe she realized that we wouldn’t want to send it back again. Everyone else at the table seemed ok with it. I have to say I would go back again. Though next time I will stay and have dessert (they had several to choose from) while the ladies go over to Lewis’ to browse and shop.
Popular Lunch Place. This place is always packed for lunch…a good sign when looking for a place to eat. The food is good…a bit pricey, but good. The buttermilk pie is incredible!
