When Bistro Byrons first opened up the food and service was wonderful. I continued to go but over time the quality of the food and service has dropped. I orders the club with coleslaw. I loved their bread. Well this time the coleslaw liquid had run all over the plate and made my sandwich that was missing meat all soggy. My daughter ordered Mac and cheese. It looked like they forgot to all milk and cheese to the noodles. It was runny with water. My son had the potatoes au gratin and they looked like they had been in a molded takeout container and plopped on the plate. They were not hot and were not cooked all the way. Crunchy. The best thing we had was the salad. At one time this my go to lunch place. Sad that this place has gone down.
I’m going to give it mostly the benefit of the doubt. I’m hoping that I just chose the wrong menu items. Mac&Cheese balls, and a small cup of corn and crab bisque. Really, the balls were heavy peppered shells and cheese, and the soup had sat in the pot boiling s long it had begun to separate. The waitress was tweeking, and strange from jump. I’ll give it another shot, they had great traffic….something has to keep ’em coming, right?
While I don’t think there’s a single bad thing on this menu, my favorite by far is their turkey burger. It’s consistently good. The combo dressing they put on it is a perfect compliment. The meat is never dry. The service is typically very slow though, so plan on being there a while.
Best pot roast ever!. My first visit to this restaurant and some of the best food I have ever eaten. I had the pot roast for lunch with the bread pudding for dessert. I will go back soon and try it again. A definite thumbs up on my first visit there.
Forget parts of our order. The food is always delicious but it seems every time we order from there to pick up, for the office, they forget part of our order and we have to return to pick it up. Not fun, especially when what was forgotten was the client’s meal.
Another great meal…fast and friendly service. We love this place!!! Thank in part to Colby
Really enjoyed the food, but the staff needs work. This is a really nice spot in a nice area of Line Avenue in Shreveport. The decor is appealing and the menu has such great options. Everyone in our party enjoyed their meals. They have so much of the kinds of food that Louisianians love. The only problem is their staff. It seems that since the owner is in another of these restaurants in the Southern part of the state, the staff doesn’t mind how they behave. I have had good service in the past, but during the most recent visit, we were disappointed in the attitude of the bartender and our waitress. I will still visit there again and hope that she is not assigned to our table. Because all in all, it has a nice ambiance and good food.
