Undoubtedly the worst meal EVAH! Chicken fried steak is just precooked frozen patty but the worst was the red beans, poison comes to mind. My husband ordered jumbo fried shrimp, which he swapped with me to keep me from sending the steak back, was not deveined… the only saving grace at all was the sweet tea!
Half cooked chicken. I ordered the smothered chicken with a side of pinto beans. The chicken was not cooked all the way and the beans tasted sour. I wasn’t particularly thrilled about ordering from there but my husband thinks they have the best fried trout. I wasn’t impressed with it. At one time, the food was really good. The last few times I’ve been there I’ve been really disappointed. Will not be going back.
Best soul food ever. This is a must have restaurant each time I am visiting Shreveport. The smothered chicken and rice n gravy definitely hits the spot of you a free e craving soul food.
Terrible meal. I stopped in at brothers for a late lunch – I was flying home & had about three hours before I had to be at the airport – my food took an hour to arrive & if had been hot it might have been worth waiting for! Everything was cold with the exception of the greens. Stuffed shrimp, oysters & fish were cold – spent $80 on a meal I didn’t eat. Used to come here once or twice a month when I was in town – wont be back

SLOWEST SERVICE EVER. Food was good but the service was unreasonably slow. Took 2 hours for lunch….which is totally nuts.
Simply Awesome! The service, atmosphere, and patrons were the best. And then, the BEST part was how amazing the food was. A true taste of Louisiana!
