I’m not entirely sure how Brothers survives. The location is horrible and the upkeep of the property is lacking. As for the food, quality is all over the place. I’ve had good fish and bad gumbo in one meal only to have the opposite occur on the next visit. I have never had the kind of fantastic food some have proclaimed Brothers capable of. Service is the same hit or miss situation. I’ve had good courteous service only to be all but ignored the next visit. Brothers has a loyal following because of their roots but things have changed for them drastically over time. They now also have some serious competition in Crescent City Bistro down the street. Good management could right the ship and keep them afloat. Unfortunately I don’t see them bringing in anyone that could handle the job and it would be hard to believe anyone with the skill would take that job.
