This was my first time here. I went while visiting some family in Shreveport. I have to say, I thought the food was splendid. Our table started with the fried bow-tie pasta and spinach artichoke dip, Crawfish Bread, and Bayou Broccoli. All of them were amazing. My main dish was the Ricochet Catfish. Perfectly fried, with a sweet Pecan glaze on top. Such a great flavor… But if you aren’t a fan of pecans, look at getting something else. The service was lacking. I don’t know if they were understaffed or having a bad night or something, but from the time we got seated until the time we got our main course was about an hour and a half. That’s the main reason I give them negative marks.
I’ve been dining at this location ever since it first opened. It used to be one of my favorite places to dine. However, it has definitely taken a turn for the worse. With the exception of the steaks, the quality of the food is so disappointing. The shrimp ducky used to be delicious, but now it is horrible. It used to be flavorful and just spicy enough. Now, it tastes like cheap, processed meat with a bitter tasting sauce. The menu has been nearly cut in half. It’s saddens me to say that after all these years I am no longer going to be a customer anymore. Sad because it once was one of the best restaurants in town. No longer.
Wait staff tends to add tips after the visit. Twice now, I have noticed an extra $2 tacked on to the total after it passes the my account. Love the food. It does take a considerable amount aoftime to receive order. Sorry to say I will not be back due to crooked wait staff. Manager did reimburse extra $2 but that’s not enough to keep me coming back
My absolute favorite dish at Copeland’s. I have had other menu items, but this is amazing!!07 Mar, 2013Enjoyed it immensely! I ordered eggplant pirogue, hubs had the seafood platter. Ate too much and still had food to take home. Yummy!! Don’t understand the bad reviews, we had great service and awesome food. We will definitely be back!!
This place has gone down hill. Service is terrible. Food wasn’t cooked properly.
Best Food and Great Service. It was my birthday and I decided to go to Copeland’s to celebrate it with my family! We had the best time and a GREAT dinner. Our server was wonderful and the food was to die for! Had the Crab cake and Shrimp Alfredo…could not have been any better. Black and White cheesecake was amazing. The general manger stopped by and wished me a happy birthday…what a great touch. Will be back very soon.
