New cook in training. Braged on Sonys fish several times…not tonite..very bad..looks like lost their cook…fish was soggy and undercooked…peppers were burnt..very disappointed…….3/9/15..monday evening…hope old cook comes back….
Unsatisfied customer. Had take-out fried shrimp and catfish last PM. All fried items tasted terrible, must be the grease. Catfish was overcooked. Fries were soggy. Cole slaw was totally unedible-went in the trash. Have stopped here for several years and had very good food. This was so bad that we could not eat much. We were later sorry we had eaten any at all! Still nauseated today! Will not be back!

Surprised and disgusted!!. Tonight my sister and I wanted to have fish for dinner. It is the 15th of November 2014 and around 8:15 when we pulled up to the drive thru window. I was hesitant, because it was getting late, but after working two jobs, I felt like I could trust this restaurant to be professional, and serve quality food at the time of our arrival. I have eaten here before and must say I was very satisfied. We even passed another local establishment that served fish, just to have Sonny’s. However, it was the worst experience ever. My sister and I ordered the medium fish dinner that served 6 pieces of fish, two sides and fries. The meal was horrific, the fish, like jerky consistency was inedible. To hard and crisp, the fish, not the fries. I was shocked, and the fries, well just dripping in grease. So I picked up the phone to call back and let them know what we had experienced, even adding that had they told us the fish would have been old, over cooked, unfresh, we would have gladly opted out. Not being mad, just grateful for honesty. I even asked for a manager on duty, just to be told, there was no manager only an owner in which they gave me their personal phone number, feeling uneasy I decided not to call at 8:45 p.m. I hope to have this resolved, if not, I will continue my online social opinion, and not to mention I hold two jobs in two fast paced high end retail jobs, one in Southern Hills and one off of Youree Dr. I will pass along my experience and suggest that they should never stop in. Shame on you Sonny’s!!!!
BAD. I ordered two plates, fish and oysters and fish and shrimp. The fish was good…the oysters were no bigger than a quarter…they did give me double the order because they were so tiny, but all the breading fell off of them. Not sure about the shrimp, they looked good but I cannot eat them. The coleslaw was hot and the beans were cold as well as the soggy French fries. I have tried to give them a chance on last 3 visits because I live close and the fish is always good, but now I will not be back. I think the management needs to spend a little more time in this restaurant if they want to turn it around…prime dinner time and only 2 cars in parking lot and I was the only one in the drive through. Service was good if you like lots of giggles and talking about people at the window. Have fun! I’m done!
Sorry but omg yuck. Customer service was sweet but food smh….. I still don’t know what they accidentally gave us instead of the mash potatoes I ordered for my baby. Trust my ENTIRE family: either give them time to revamp or change hands OR choose elsewhere.
