We came here for our lunch before going to see Last Jedi.It was just okay for us.We would give this place overall a 1.5/10 from us.The food was 1.5/3. We tried 4 items. The only one we really liked was the Gratineed Gulf Oysters. These charbroiled Oysters come with bacon, garlic butter and Parmesiano cheese. They were good. We also had the Melissas BBQ Shrimp that were just okay on some buttery grits…..just okay. The Seared Diver Sea Scallops were also just okay on a bed of I guess they are called macue choux risotto which seemed like a not good corn and rice something… did not like it….Scallops okay. Our last entree was the crawfish etouffee and it was okay….we have had much better. The atmosphere of the place we would give a 0/2. It was okay but not interesting. The price would be a 0/1. Easily over $15 and fast here.No Diet Dr Pepper only Diet Coke so 0/1.Service was a 0/1 for us also…..nice and friendly but not memorable. We will not return here so 0/2. It is not that it is bad food or a bad place, just okay for us and many other places to try.

My wife and I have eater here 3 times now. The first time the food was adequate, the second time it wasn’t bad, but last night our meal was inedible. We both ordered a bowl of etouffee. The etouffee was absolutely nasty. We complained to the waiter and the result was one meal free. Not a visit by the manager to see what the problem was, not an apology, not an offer to order something elsse, just a check with one meal free. Service and food quality at a restaurant charging what they do is outrageous. Save your money folks. Go someplace else.
The food looked yummy and interesting, but the restaurant was out of a number of prime items on the menu on a weekend. When we settled on an entree after a very good appetizer, it was underdone, and neither the waiter nor the manager offered to replace the item. The manager was disheveled and unkempt and the waiter seemed uncomfortable, not very knowledgeable, and generally insincere. The space is lovely and I wish it had been a better experience on a special night.
I have been here a few times and it has yet to disappoint. The seared scallops are fantastic, and the fish specials I have ordered have all been on point. The Crabmeat Betsy app is outstanding along with the quail and crawfish beignets. It is a smaller space so it gets busy and stays busy for a while. Only thing I would change would be to add more items to the menu, but that could be a good or bad thing. Fewer selections let you do a few things really well and more selections allow you to do a lot of things ok. Will definitely be back regularly.
