Great food!!! Ive gone here for BBQ whenever i make it out to Shreveport. Definitely better than any chain joint! Don’t let the exterior, or interior for that matter, deter you from the goodness. You really cant go wrong with anything on the menu. The half chicken is the best I’ve had at any BBQ place while in Louisiana.The bread is nothing to write home about, but the meat is the star anyway. I must admit though, that every time i go in to eat i wish i had just picked up an order to go. The inside is quite….icky. Its old, smells strange, and is inconsistently sticky. The video poker thing in the back is strange too and brings in a certain clientele.

The ribs are moist and have good smoke flavor with a touch of seasoning. The sides and rolls are very forgettable. Nice folks and small mom and pop atmosphere make it worth a stop. If your from or headed to Texas keep on driving…
Very good. I stopped in to pick up lunch here for the first time. Ordered half chicken, cole slaw and beans. All 3 items were excellent. Can’t say the same for their sauce. It had 0 taste, not spicy not sweet just very bland. I usually rank a bbq place by the taste of its sauce but not today. I give the food a thumbs up!
Definitely one of the dissappearing mom and pop hole in the wall places that make the absolute best food!
Yummy sandwich. I only had the sliced beef sandwich which had plenty of meat. I look forward to trying more items because I’ve heard good things.
Absolute best barbecue I have had. The smoked wings are a special treat, spicy and flavorful. Everything is homemade and I will definitely go back for wings, ribs, and potato salad.
