Went to eat at this Johnny’s by LSUS with my mom, brother and my son. My brother was dying for Johnny’s because he lives in Georgia. The staff there was very nice and the young guy behind the counter was the best I have seen. That’s quite a bit seeing as how I live in Monroe and eat the original Johnny’s all the time. The pizza, however, was bland and all you could taste was the yeast in the dough. Not sure what was going on there. Also the restaurant smelled like they had a vape convention going on and it through the entire dining experience off. My son had a flip and said it was better than the ones he has had in Monroe. I have a low rating due to the bland pizza and the vape convention smell. You all really should not allow vapes it was a disgusting smell.
The calzone special seemed priced right,but my 1st clue that I should part ways was their refusal to have sausage in the calzone because the sausage was not pre-cooked, but when it camewith two oz sides oftomato sauce and nacho cheese (as in the Phili cheese steak topping),itI knew this wasn’t Italian for me.
