Clearly, these folks know what they are doing. Good prices on cakes, plenty of flavors to choose from. This was not my favorite king cake – I dont care for the fluffy icing, and I prefer lots more cream cheese filling, and the dough itself was a little dry. Overall, too sweet for me and not enough cream cheese filling to temper it. But the cakes are nicely packaged and affordable, and everyones tastes are different!
After hearing from many of my friends that Lilah’s is their favorite place for King Cake, I decided to try it for myself. They have more flavors than I’ve ever seen anyone else offer. I usually just get cream cheese but after seeing new flavors I decided on the Chocolate Chip & Cream. It’s pretty good but needs more filling. It was pretty dry in parts. It doesn’t win out as my favorite in town for sure. If I decided to give them another chance I’d probably try Zulu next.
