We came here to celebrate a special occasion. I had high expectations based on the reviews. It turned out to be a wonderful evening with delicious food. This place is in the top 5 for fine dining in shreveport for sure.
A lovely restaurant. A lovely old home setting in an out of the way area. But very nice. Good service except one time the the server spent all his time talking with a couple who obviously came to eat there a lot. Other than that one time we were treated beautifully. Food is good, interesting menus and overall a lovely evening. Very good drinks. Overall a good experience. Would say you have to try the place at least once. Only thing I did not like about the place was the isolated are walking out at night to your car, but the server came out on the porch and watched us until we got in the car. They do need to do something about the railing in the center of the stairs going in. Very wobbly. May have been fixed though since our last visit. I do repeat, this is a must try.
Outstanding in every way. I’m traveling with an overnight stop in Shreveport and wanted a first-rate meal to offset a dreadful one I had a few years back in one of the hotel/casino restaurants. The wine was excellent as was the entire meal. The rooms are intimate and offer a good mix of table sizes; I was alone and so was seated by the window, which was perfect as I like to read while I eat. There was a group of six who were chatty but not overly noisy, a couple marking their 18th anniversary and another couple celebrating their engagement–a really lovely mix of diners. It was clear from the comments as courses arrived that everyone was enjoying their meal as much as I was. Great place; I recommend it highly (though do note that it’s pricey–worth every penny).
Awesome! We ate here for our one year anniversary and every single thing was amazing! The atmosphere, good, service, everything! We expected a HUGE bill after having wine, appetizer, two entrees, and dessert, but were pleasantly surprised when the bill arrived and it was ~$130? Can’t remember exactly, but nothing like the $200+ we thought was coming. Best fine dining restaurant I’ve ever eaten at, in dallas, New Orleans, Jamaica or Mexico! Way to go Mabry House! Can’t wait to visit for our two year anniversary!
Very nice all around great service!!!!. I went on a very special night and they made the night perfect. Me and my fianc was treated to a very special night with great wait staff and excellent food and drinks. The atmosphere is very romantic. I proposed to wife that night and completed a very nice night. The mabry house is an experience that is well worth the price. A must go experience!!!!!
One of the best meals you will have!. If you get a chance you have to do the chef’s meal in the kitchen…it is amazing. I maybe have had 2-3 meals better in my life. everything is carefully made and presented flawlessly. The Chef is probably one of the nicest people you will meet. I can’t wait to do it again!
Went for my hubby’s birthday and it was FANTASTIC! Great ambiance and food was decadent as it should have been. Pricey, yes, but worth it!
