Ate at the Monjunis off of Youree Drive this week. Loved the decor, very kitchie and cheerful, seating nice and comfortable and service and servers were great. And must say the mint tea was over the top. However, the food was subpar. Spagetti seemed to be cooked and maybe drained and left sitting in a colander until served. Rather dry, crumpled and not really very good. Meatball was nice, large, but just not great. Lacked seasoning and was surely not ground round or sirloin.Muffy did not touch the one at Monjunis on Louisiana. Not that stuffed, not evenly stuffed, a lot on one half and thin on other half. And the salad pepper was not the mild sort, it was really too hot too eat. Also had the lasagna. Well if you like lasagne noodles with some sauce and almost no meat and a a couple teaspoons ricotta you may like it but I found it dry and blah.Guess this will be our last trip to the location. Was $50 for two with mint tea and no dessert. High for that I think. Have had a dozen mesquite broiled oysters with home made hand cut fries and hubby had mesquite grilled jumbo shrimp with tortilla soup at Oyster bar for $38 so you can make the comparison. A shame because we really looked forward to going over there.Lastly the bathroom was icy cold and a loud roaring motor thing over your head. Not condusive to a relaxed break if you know what I mean. And thin, skinny toilet paper to add the final touch. So sayanara or whatever, we will not be back. They may be connected to the restaurant on Louisiana, but I do have my doubts. I think only the name connects them and they are NOT the same.
