Nice. Since The Noble savage tavern reopen it has been incredible, it’s like one big family.. everyone is so friendly, not just to staff but also the customers, and the food is unbelievable. It’s unlike any place that I’ve been, they make everyone feel like family. They just don’t have strangers there. It doesn’t matter if you’ve been coming there for years or it’s your first time everyone is welcomed with open arms. In a word INCREDIBLE

Awesome atmosphere. Great music. FABULOUS FOOD!. This place is definitely NOT closed. Had a delicious meal of pork with fois gras, asparagus and rice while listening to some great live music. The service was impeccable also. (Thanks, Charles!) I’m from New Orleans and have been to many 5 stars there as well as in other cities around the world. Noble Savage rates. A definite must if in Shreveport. Bonus: the dress is casual.

Sadly, it looks like the restaurant is now closed. I haven’t been there for a while, but am writing to let people know that, according to news reports, the restaurant is closed indefinitely so that people won’t make the drive and be disappointed. According to news reports the Chef, Mark Colby, was arrested in Mexico on September 12 after his girlfriend who owned the restaurant was found murdered in their home earlier in the week. I will miss the opportunity of being able to go to this place as it had character and the food was always good and they did not have an average, run of the mill menu.

This was definitely our favorite of all the places we visited in our weekend in Shreveport. The food was excellent, as was the service and entertainment. Everyone was friendly. Our server recommended the nachos and muffuletta. I wouldn’t recommend the nachos and I definitely wouldn’t order them again. They were just cheese and salsa on chips. Not our favorite. The muffuletta however was excellent. The slaw it came with was different but good. The sandwich was warm and delicious but also huge. The half sandwich was more than enough for us to share. The band was an older couple that were funny and entertaining. The atmosphere was great and the selection of beverages was large. Every beer we ordered came out cold and fast. We will definitely be back. One thing I will mention is that the menu is very limited and original. Don’t go here expecting to grab a burger or something like that. Everything they serve is unique and different. Go in with the readiness to try something new.

If you love cigarette smoke and a hostile wait staff then this is the place for you.

Just not sure what people see here? It’s a bar that has a pub food menu with some specialty dishes. Supposedly the chef creates & cooks these specialty menu items but when we were there, around 8:00 on a sat night, the chef was standing at the bar drinking & smoking cigars. He never moved from his spot at the bar from the time we got there till we left. If he is the chef creating these specialty items, shouldnt he be IN the kitchen? We ordered the empenatas, basically nothing more than a bite sized Nachitoches meat pie but good. They were served with a sauce that tastes like ketchup & hot sauce. I has the alley cay sandwich which was supposed to be served on sourdough bread, it was supermarket deli lunchmeat on white bread-not impressed. Husband had the omnivore pizza which was good but SMALL, like child sized small. The bar drinks were good & strong, other than that, not real impressed. I’d go back for drinks but the menu & chef were not worth a return dining trip.

Great Place. The standard menu is good but the specials they have from week to week are incredible. Yeah it can be smokey at times but if you get there early before all of the hipsters it isn’t too bad. Good beers on tap. No SoCo or Jager. Not a spring break bar.
