Flavor has declined, prices increased. I’ve been eating here since about 2005. Always the Cajun burger, always friendly service. Now the cashier has a pretty dry attitude and the guy running tables is pretty friendly. The burger seems less and less seasoned every time I go. And this trip I had the toughest bread ever. Yet the prices increase. I don’t mind the prices if the quality matches, it doesn’t. Its a nice size burger but no longer worth it to me.
Best burger I’ve had at a restaurant was the Cajun burger. 3/4 pound of beef with cayenne pepper. Employees were pleasant and made me feel welcomed.
Fried Egg Burger. This was a very good burger especially with the bread and fried egg.Did not really care for the cheese fries…have had alot better
Nice find. Delicious. I got the turkey and cheese poboy and my boyfriend got the shrimp poboy. Portion sizes are huge. We’ll be back!
Just off Youree Drive, but you have to be looking for it. A little storefront that is spartan but clean inside. Super friendly staff who guide newcomers through the menu. Everything is sized generously so a half order may be plenty. The burger is a huge patty with a crusty outside and cooked perfectly. The po’boys are filled with succulent crusted oysters, shrimp, or other fillings of your choice, perfectly dressed. For kids there are dinosaur-shaped chicken nuggets. Fries are brown and crispy. A great find, just keep it your secret.
Best burger in town!!! I definitely got my money’s worth!Owner was extremely nice and very friendly and appreciative of our business! This is a nice little honey hole off the beaten path that I hope not TOO many people discover this place or I’ll have to wait in line for a long time! HaWAY better than all these horrible burger chains popping up all over that go out of business within a year because of their poor quality!Do yourself a favor and EAT HERE…support local businesses!!!The Cajun burger was the best!!!
The Bun Made The Burger. This place lived up to our expectations. We had read all the reviews and they were positive….commenting on the burgers and especially the bread. As we drove up, the place looked promising as far as burger joints go. Inside was small but had many booths and tables to sit at….not much into decorating which goes with a place that focuses on cooking. We ordered a whole bacon cheeseburger with cheese fries and a Bayou Burger with onion rings. We wanted bread pudding but they had run out.The Bayou burger was very good with a meat patty topped with cheese, grilled onions and crawfish pieces. The bacon cheeseburger was our favorite. The bread is cooked daily in house and is very tasty, thin and fits as far as a bread to meat ratio= excellent. The meat was 3/4 pound and cooked through and seared on the surfaces…delicious. The lettuce is shredded, the tomatoes are diced and the bacon is cooked perfectly and crumbled on the patty. Overall, the meat and condiments are probably as good as any we have eaten (not counting buffalo) but it is the bread which is better than any we remembered trying and makes this probably the best burger we have eaten to date. The cheese fries were good, soft and soggy but good and the onion rings were good as well, neither was the best we have had but both were good. They do have diet dr pepper. And last, there is a shirt up front for people who eat the Papa burger= 5 patties each 3/4 pounds on one burger; the older man up front says he has seen several try to eat this but none have.JG score of 7 (+3 for food, 0 for atmosphere, +1 for price, +1 for diet dr pepper, 0 for service and +2 for we would return)
