They Made Me Like Baked Beans?. I was in the area for unfortunate reasons – visiting someone in the hospital nearby – and wanted a bite to eat. Podnuh’s looked pretty interesting, so I gave it a go. It has a cool inside with different eating areas and wood all about. I decided to get a 3 Rib Plate, which came with 2 Sides. I went with Mac & Cheese, and in a surprising turn, decided to try out the ‘famous’ baked beans. I have to admit, the ‘famous’ description intrigued me. This was a surprising move, because I have never been a fan of baked beans. Most of the time there is something about them. Maybe I find them too sweet? Podnuh’s Famous Baked Beans had a great taste in my opinion. It almost seemed like they kind of added a meat and sauce element to it that I compare to Sloppy Joe’s (Bodacious BBQ places have Sloppy Joe’s – not sure if that is a common thing), but with longer bits of meat (not ground). Whatever it is, I liked it. The mac & cheese and ribs were both pretty good, but I think the first thing that would draw me back to try Podnuh’s again would be to get some more baked beans. I also liked that the 3 rib plate actually came with 4 ribs.

The Best!!!!. Last Sat we went to Podnuh’s for take out, ribs chopped beef & the works. It was the best we ever had!!!! Gary filled our order with a smile, and Yolanda was more than helpful and sweet. It made my 90 yr old Mothers’ Day!!!!! A Big Thank You it was GREAT!!!!!!
Great place for lunch! Very relaxed environment. The chopped brisket sandwich, sweet tea, and baked beans are all the best!!
Don’t even bother. Everything is dry and tastes like it’s been boiled in water and liquid smoke. My dad told me when I was a kid that you can always tell a good BBQ joint by how much wood they have stacked up outside. This place has none.
A decent enough place, especially for lunch. I usually pass on pork products but like the BBQ brisket and potato salad. Nothing really to write home about but nothing worthy of a complaint either. I will eat here again.
