Went for lunch today at the new location on Fairfield and Pierremont. It was fairly crowded but there were tables available. We both ordered the 3 rib plate with potato salad, cole slaw and beans. The wait was almost 40 minutes for our food. The sides were good and the ribs were tasty but the beans were cold and no spoon was provided to eat the beans.Perhaps someone needs to organize the kitchen better so that the wait is shorter.I observed 5 workers in the kitchen and still the wait. The beans should be in a slow cooker ready to be served up fast. And, of course, the potato salad and cole slaw should be already prepared and ready to serve.Cutting the ribs is the only thing that could slow things down. Even then they are already cooked and should be ready to plate up.Again, the food was good but organizing the delivery would go a long way in making customers happy.

Probably the best brisket I’ve ever had. The owner was on hand, very nice, down to earth guy. Casual atmosphere, staff was friendly. I had the Cowboy Potato, only finished about half because the portion was so large. Just blown away!

BEST BBQ IVE HAD AROUND HERE!. I got the saints potato. it had pulled pork with bbq sauce, sourcream, cheese, and mac and cheese on it and weighed roughly 2 pounds! it was enough for 3 people and it was only $9. The owner offered to let us try his all brisket sausage and smoked turkey. The all brisket sausage doesn’t have a skin and its all brisket not like hotdogs.. and it only has 5% fat! the turkey was moist and amazing !!! Then I had some peanut butter cake for desert. It was still warm from being cooked and absolutely amazing. The people there were so nice and talkative. it was truly a great experience!!

Pretty Good. I ordered a two meat platter with beans and potato salad as my sides. Ribs & Brisket- The seasoning, flavor and texture were very good. However, it seems they may have put the meat on the smoker before the wood burnt down to hot, clean burning coals. The meat had a strong creosote after taste to it. That usually happens when the meat is put on the smoker before you have a hot clean burning fire. If it weren’t for the creosote after taste this dish would have been very good. *If you don’t like sauce on your ribs you need to tell them up front. If you don’t say anything they serve the ribs with sauce already on them.Potato Salad- Pretty good. I’m more of a fan of a mustard based potato salad but this wasn’t bad. Very creamy. Beans- I didn’t really care for the beans. I’m not a fan of slices of onions in my bbq beans. But overall I just wasn’t a fan of the taste. The service and hospitality was excellent. This is a local, family owned place with a good atmosphere. The owners are real nice and hospitable. I’ll give it another try and hopefully the creosote after taste won’t be there.
