Best BBQ I’ve had in Shreveport, easily. There are a number of BBQ places in Shreveport and neighboring cities, but Sammy’s is the only one I’ve had so far that is guaranteed to hit the spot every single time, regardless of what you eat. I am very, very happy I found this place! 5 stars!

I liked until I came the night the teens work. I ordered the 30 wings he told me that was a specialty order.He went to the front and 2 more teens came said they needed to count the wings.the guy said next time call ahead.he was not nice it took 20 minutes to count out 30 wings.As many times as I had them for lunch these were not good however I’m thinking the teens were mad I ordered so many. I had bragged about them so I was going to use Sammy to cater an anniversary party but I don’t want mad people preparing food for my family. These wings were extremely salty. Not like anything I’ve had from there before..i am convinced they picked out 30 of the smallest overcooked wings they saw.they were not big and succulent like I had ALWAYS had in the past.
Great BBQ. Ribs were nicely smoked and quite tender. Potato salad was homemade. Large portions. Nice local place.
Love this place. I used to hate it but it was bought out about a year and a half ago. It’s now family owned and that helps because if you do have a problem with something they are willing to talk to you about it and try and get you what you want or fix what they messed up
Food came out fast, ribs, corn, and toast are delicious, but building is unique.
