The crawfish are decent here better than any I have tried in Shreveport so far not close to Crawfish Hole in Minden and no comparison to the ones down south. The BBQ is good not great, better than most in Shreveport but that isn’t saying much. Staff is friendly. I whole heartedly agree with bass4food on this place needing table service. It would be a nice addition.
Shane’s comes so close to being a great local chain but just misses the mark on one or two points. Don’t get me wrong, I believe they are better than many of the often derogatory reviews would lead you to believe. First the good; I found this location to be consistent with the others in decent quality food. The service was very friendly and quick, the building clean and comfortable. I’ve never had an issue with portion size or the price, all seems fair and in line with like restaurants. On the needs improvement front: I can’t stand walk-up order counters! It’s worse here with so many menu options covering the wall. The Mansfield Rd location has table service, they really should look at doing that chain wide. The BBQ is passable but not memorable, if it’s part of your name step up and improve. The seafood fares better but there are zero non-fried options. There are too many items from the freezer, one is too many, I can pop frozen stuff into an oven at home. Take ownership and cut your fries yourself that’s what a restaurant does! Given the choice I’ll take the Mansfield Rd location over this one, mostly due to the table service and better music choice.
My husband and I got take out tonight for dinner from the Youree drive location. We ordered crawfish touffe for each of us, a kids catfish dinner and fried green tomatoes. The crawfish touffe was so terrible, we couldn’t even stomach to eat it. My sons catfish was OK, nothing to rave about. The fried tomatoes, French fries and hush puppies tasted like they’d been cooked in old grease and didn’t taste fresh. Needless to say, we were extremely disappointed with our $40 dinner. We won’t eat here again and would not recommend this eatery to anyone.

Fresh & Tasty!. My friends and I dined on Sunday afternoon. Be aware that the location near Barksdale is not open on Sunday. We really enjoyed dining al fresco near the waterfall. The service was prompt and friendly; the food was fresh and tasty. The only low point was a greasy pistolette. The chicken and sausage gumbo was nicely spicy, and the fried sweet pickled tomatoes were a pleasant surprise. Everyone enjoyed the boiled shrimp.
Im torn! I enjoy the food, however the portions are small and the price is high! $36 for the wife and I to eat lunch…c’mon. It is good, just not that good. Fresh, tasty, overpriced, small portions, left hungry!
Good and Bad. The front patio smells like a dumpster, power wash that nasty smell away. The fried green tomatoes are just relish and are not the best, nor what you will expect. The crawfish is good, the fried mushrooms, the catfish…the rest is good.
