Great, no. Bad, No Way. Some of the reviews bring up valid issues, some things on the menu are frozen. In the distant past I’ve had mediocre service but… Recently I’ve had very good service from many different servers. The gentleman grilling and serving at the gumbo bar was attentive and truly concerned with my impression of his food! There are comment cards on the tables, the place has always been very clean. Portions are average or better, see the pictures not the negative reviews. I don’t get it, people rave about places with worse food higher prices and smaller portions and worse service. Give them a place that’s as good maybe a cut above and they tear it apart? As a rule I never pay attention to any review, especially a negative one, from a one vote one review person and always look to see what they consider to be a good restaurant. In this case it’s very telling.31 Aug, 2012The food is generally well prepared thou most is frozen. Can’t recommend the blackened gator but the catfish was ok. It’s a clean well kept place but as some have mentioned the service could be better.
GROSS!. I hated the pasta.. it didn’t have enough sauce. I tried to get more and servers walked past me a million times while waiting by the kitchen.. Couldn’t get more paper towels for a while. Service was awful.
Very Average. I have eaten there several times with a friend that likes it. I find the food to be average at best. You can definitely find better quality food in Shreveport / Bossier. The service was a little below average – I also noticed slow waitresses that fail to come by and check up on you. I can take it or leave it.
Too Bad. My husband & I have tried very hard to like this restaurant; it’s locally owned and convenient for us to meet for lunch. I’ve also ordered take-out for lunch.However, I think we’ve eaten at Shane’s for the last time. Food is pretty good. Really like the burger and chicken sandwich.Service is about as bad I’ve ever had; staff seems complacent, lazy, and unfriendly. They do not seem to have basic customer service skills such as making eye contact, smiling, and prompt service.Prices are ridiculous for what you get. Shane’s has little-to-no competition on that side of town, so there seems to be little incentive to improve.Certainly a disappointment and will recommend to friends to head a different direction when needing a pleasant & affordable lunch.

Don’t bother. The food was frozen and pretty tasteless, the portions were ridiculously small, the tables were dirty and the staff acted like they were doing us a favor by taking our order. Can’t believe I wasted the money. I’m sticking to Sam’s Southern Seafood.
