What a disappointment…We’ve made two attempts to eat at Shogun in Shreveport. The first attempt, a lunch date, was a miss because the restaurant was closed during advertised hours. No sign; no phone message. Hana got our business that day. Strike one for Shogun.Last night, we decided to give Shogun a second try. This time we made it as far as the waiting area. The hostess ignored us (and the other customers). No feedback on wait time. No eye contact. No attempt to take our names. We waited and waited. Finally, we checked in at the sushi bar and got a curt response when we asked about the estimated wait time. Cheng’s got our business that night. Strike two for Shogun.I gotta say, given all the sushi restaurants in Shreveport, I see no reason to give Shogun another chance. Frankly, no sushi is worth such poor customer service. What really frustrates me is that the service issues have been documented on this site and on the site that begins with a ‘Y.’ Is management really that inept?

BEWARE: Chef was lewd & VULGAR. Went to celebrate my son’s birthday and the waiter was lewd & crude with sexual inuendos and vulgar remarks. It was so bad, that 1/2 way through I had to leave. There were 2 -20 year old young ladies at the table (1 was pregnant) that were extremely uncomfortable, but just didn’t know what to do. I know most people don’t like to mess with people that are preparing your food, which is why I left. I spoke to the owner who didn’t show much concern. That explains why the chef was so cavalier and knew he wouldn’t get in any trouble. Our special occasion was ruined, so beware – there are other places you can get fried rice – it’s not worth the risk to have your family exposed to such and now you know that management will not provide corrective action or customer service.
