  I got there at 5:30 pm, placed my order for a small 10 inch pizza and thats it. She said it would take up to 45 minutes which is fine by me. 6:30 PM I had to walk up to management for them to tell me my pizza MIGHT be in the oven as in you they don’t know where it is and she kept saying I would have to wait. And yet I have waited longer then set time and they have no idea where my pizza is. I pray to god for anyone who goes in there for this restaurant deserves to burn in hell with its management for the service I received. Will never go back, will make sure I tell everyone I meet how awful of a time I had and to beg them to never set foot in that place ever.

  I eat the buffet 2-3 times a week with coworkers, because it’s close and convenient. The pizza is always hot and fresh, I wish the salad bar was as consistent. Some days it looks absolutely perfect, fresh and stocked and the very next day at opening we came in and it looked nothing like the day before, watered down tomatoes and cucumbers, cheese in the dressing and the ranch dressing was empty. We tried again today and it was clean and stocked with freshly cut vegetables, crisp lettuce and full dressings! Hands down the best salad bar in town if only it was consistent!

  Another on my list of cool walk back in time places in Shreveport! This is a pizza parlor from another era complete with a game room with a pinball machine and Ms. Pac-Man! Up until recently it was also one of the better pizza places in town. It’s not so much that they have lost their touch, but some serious new competition has arrived. The pizza is thin crusted and crisp. I like that combo however there is toughness a chewiness I’m not a fan of. The toppings leave a bit to be desired, the quality seems to be to save money instead of enhance flavor. I take exception to the reviewer that claimed CiCi’s to be better. While Smitty’s may not be the best in town that’s just downright insulting. Of course they may bring some of this criticism on themselves. On a recent lunch visit I found the buffet to be wanting. This may be due in part to the lack of a large enough crowd to keep the pizza moving before it gets old and dry. Also strange (and somewhat humorous) was a sign at the salad bar for buffet customers to only make one trip to the salad bar! While most business savvy places want you to fill up on the cheap salad, Smitty’s actually risks insulting people to make you eat more pizza! The take away: Go check it out, especially if you never got to experience the old school pizza joints of the past. Skip the lunch buffet and go at diner time for the best experience.
