Pork chops too thin and fried too hard
Me and my band traveled to Shreveport from Atlanta for a show and were looking for a good local breakfast spot that wasn’t waffle house. This place didn’t disappoint. The biscuits and gravy were really good. They had a higher grade of bacon than the standard fare which was nice. Also definitely get the hash browns with onions!
Even Better Than The Original. I’ve been a fan of the original Southfield Grill for years. This incarnation has the same great food but even better service. The whole staff is extremely friendly and do their jobs with excellence, something lacking in many fancier restaurants. Good daily specials and lots of veggie choices too! One of the few places I’ll order chicken and dumplings. Big points for Tabasco and Slap Your Momma seasoning on the tables as well as Louisiana Hot Sauce and pepper sauce for greens etc…

This place is awesome! It is a great place to get home cooked food southern style! The main dishes are to die for! I have had the catfish, roast beef, hamburger steak, country fried steak, and the chicken dressing you can’t go wrong with any of those choices! The sides are good some are bland! I like the green beans, Mac and cheese, fried okra, fried squash, and cabbage greens. The cornbread is sweet and tasty!
I tried this resturant today. The food is very good,fresh and easy on the pocket!!
