Highly overrated. Service so so. Pie good. Food….greasy. Preprepared and white gravy runny and no flavor whatsoever. I was starving and left the mashed potatoes and gravy. Best part…side salad was fresh.

From the moment we walked in things went down hill. The server didn’t introduce herself, I asked for turkey and dressing and she started telling me about breakfast when it was 2:45 in te afternoon. The best thing about the food is that it was cooked, no flavor or presentation. Meriocre experience at est. I asked for a cup if ice to go and the server brought me back an empty cup. Not a good experience at all. I will not be returning to this restaurant.

Just walked out. Sat at table ten minutes, completely ignored by two waitresses chatting with each other.

Left hungry. Thought id try the healthier choice i saw of a grilled chicken sandwich. Got the meal and looked like a two once flattened piece of chicken and two folded pieces of bread. The sides were much larger and filling, green beans and salad. Cant complain about them but for 8 something dollars i felt ripped off. Even the waitress saw my look of upset with my choice. But lesson learned.

If you like over salted canned veggies, boxed potatoes and gravy, and chicken fried steak that looks and tastes like cardboard, then go to strawn’s and you’ll be happy.

Inexpensive home cooked food that’s great and leaves you full! Can’t leave without having a slice of pie, it’ll be the best you’ve ever had.

Guilty pleasure. Old fashioned food. Large helpings. Inexpensive. Competent service. The food is not especially interesting, but if you’re in need of comfort food then this is the place to go.
