Quite good. Had the camerones y pollo fajitas. Shrimp were large and both chicken and shrimp were very tasty. Waitstaff were on point. On a late Sunday afternoon, it was busy but not overly crowded. Would recommend to anyone looking for a different style Mexican grill.
Went last night with my husband and our friends. My husband burger was great. My puff tacos weren’t any better than a low chain Mexican restaurant. Oh and the famous margaritas. Well we order the happy hour special. It cast $11 and came in a styrofoam cup. Believe it or not that was $4 off reg price. And once again no better than the frozen bucket u can make at your own home. There was a band playing on the enclosed patio area. That really was the best part. I love live music but our group chose the restaurant area so we could talk. Strangely they had different music playing over the speakers mixing with the live band so we couldn’t hear ourselves think. It is a shame that the younger generation will never experience the old superior bar & grill. The kickass nachos, salsa & margaritas. Now it’s just an over priced low end Mexican restaurant. I will say it is on my list as one of the best burgers in town. Sad that the best thing is their burger.
Always great! Best Mexican food in town! They have the best queso and the salsa is also very good. It’s always very crowded so get there early.
Sardines in a can. Drove by Superior’s quite a few times. Always a crowd in the evenings. Thought it must be a great place to eat. Took the daughter and two grandkids. We had a small wait. When we finally got to be seated we were placed all the way back in a corner, which really wasn’t a bad thing considering how crowded the tables were aligned as to get more customers in. No way to be comfortable. Grandkids had a very hard time getting to the wash rooms because of the proximity of all the tables. Food was fair. Noise was almost unbearable. Refills were nonexistent. Not a place to take the family. If you and a couple of your friends want to get a bite to eat before a night out on the town this is the place to be. Really a lot of drinking. More of a bar than a grill. I just did not like it for a family gathering.
Overpriced and not worth it.. I started going to this place in 1987. It was the place to go to socialize and people watch. The happy hour was two for one margaritas for $3.95. There was a free small buffet that is now gone and no patio. The place was really busy on Wed, Fri and Sat. The fajitas were around maybe $12 for diner with a really good lunch special for fajitas in the day. But, this place has continually gone down hill. The happy hour prices slowly creeped up until about 5yrs ago when they just went really high. They used to have really good strawberry margaritas but started charging extra because they said strawberries were getting expensive. I was there on 4/16/2015 and the place just sucks. The margaritas are now $11 and $15 after happy hour. I’ve heard some grumblings that happy hour is no more but our drinks showed happy hour on the receipt. And, fajitas, you know, that crappy cut of meat that has to be marinated to be edible, is now $29.95! I’ve seen their prices go up but $30 for fajitas that never seem to have the same consistency is just crap. We used to go here a lot but this place has priced me out. And what was strange was the tortilla chips weren’t that good and the salsa was bitter. They always had good chips and salsa. My last gripe, they put suggested tips on the receipt starting at 20%, really? My tab was $135 for 3 and $45 was for two rounds of happy hour drinks and two orders of fajitas. They calculated the tip based on the total including tax which is wrong, you don’t tip on tax. If the food was great, maybe I would go again. Go to Trejos which has much better food and doesn’t cost so much.
It’s incredibly loud. The waiters are rude. They consistently ran into my chair a total of 26 times because they were too lazy to walk around on the other side to the kitchen. Why would they put a table where they did if they didn’t plan on having enough room for waiters to walk by? Don’t expect patrons to scoot in and be half an inch from the table. All the tables are about half a foot from each other.
Best Mexican food this side of Mexico. Every meal I’ve had there was excellent.
