The food here is amazing. It always tastes fresh. The rice is different from most Spanish rice but it is by far my favorite I’ve ever had. One of my favorite Mexican restaurants in Shreveport. My favorite thing on the menu isthe Chicken Tacos Al Carbon. Delicious!!
Probably my favorite mexican restaurant in town. The service is always fast and friendly. The food is consistently good. The salsa has good flavor. I really like their rice- it’s not greasy or dry. But their fajitas are a thing of beauty. The flavor is incredible. My husband and I share the beef & chicken combination fajitas every time we go. Nice big cuts of meat so it’s never dried out. The seasoning is great. Definitely the best fajitas in town.
Absolutely horrendous.. Server was completely inattentive, rushed, didn’t really want to be bothered with us. The food finally came and it was absolutely horrible. Flavorless. Barely warm. And for $38 fajitas for two I expect a little more… Spoke with the manager and she tried to make excuses for the server and the food. Telling me I was wrong. I finally told her I don’t need an excuse, just the check so I can pay and leave. She stormed off and another employee brought my check… Horrible. I will never darken their door again. With so many great AUTHENTIC Mexican restaurants in Shreveport, I don’t know why we even tried this place… Word of mouth isn’t always best. DONT EAT HERE!
Why is this place so popular? ? Last night’s food AND service was the worst. Flavorless food laden with grease. Tough corn tortillas. Salsa bar empty at dinnertime! I’ve eaten everything here from tacos to fajitas to enchiladas – everything is hideous. I simply do not understand the local draw to this place.
First time at tacomania thought it was delicious! Not to mention we had the most fabulous waiter named Ramon. We will be back!
Me and my Mom went to this restaurant for the first time after many recommendations. I am a flight attendant with a major airline, and eat all around the world including Mexico. So No, I’m not your El Chico regular. I have to say this is 1 of the worst Mexican restaurants I have ever ate at! The salsa tasted exactly like bad pizza sauce; I’ve had better Queso out of a jar from the grocery store, and yes the older waiter did act like he was doing us a favor! When we went to leave 3 Host/hostesses didn’t even say Goodbye! You can get better customer service at Olive Garden! Can’t believe on top 20 list; it should be on top 20 worst list in shreveport/ bossier.
This place is, O.K. It’s no…. This place is, O.K.It’s not terrible, but it’s definitely not the best Mexican food in the area. Try El Potrillo, or El Compadre.
