We haved dined here many times as the restaurant is right down the street from me. I have quit dining here. Over the years we have found the food to be inconsistent. It’s always a hit or miss and unfortunately, there were just to many misses. The restaurant is classified a supper scale and the visual appeal of the restaurant as you walk in seems like high class dining. Unfortunately, the food is not upper class dining and does not warrant the high prices. The burgers however, are very good. So, unless your ordering a burger… I wouldn’t recommend.

Upscale Prices, Mediocre Food. Let me start off with the positive. The servers here are friendly and attentive. You get seated quickly and they have an seating area that accommodates a large group, which is nice. The ambiance is nice. However (and this is a big however), I will not be going back to this restaurant. Their problem is that they are trying to be an upscale establishment with upscale prices, but their food is only average, and frankly they offer dishes that you can get at any run-of-the-mill restaurant or diner. My mother got the grown up grilled cheese (just because you add onions and call it grownup, does not negate the fact that you are charging $14 for a grilled cheese sandwich, which frankly, I could make at home), several people got the French dip sandwich (which they said was good, but no better than what you can get at any of a dozen delis), one person got the chicken fried steak (can get better at Cracker Barrel for half the price), and Chicken Alfredo (ok, but can get the same thing at any restaurant for less $$), etc. I didnt want a sandwich, so I ordered the pan seared Red Snapper and Cajun crawfish sauce (an extra $3 for the sauce). It came with mashed potatoes (bland) and steamed broccoli (boring). I substituted the broccoli for sauted spinach, which came out drowning in olive oil. The fish by itself was bland, and tasted fishy, which lead me to believe that it wasnt fresh, I think it was frozen fish. My bill, just for myself, came to $40. Forty dollars for bland, not fresh fish, greasy spinach and bland potatoes. You can see the problem here. If you are going to brand yourself as an upscale eatery, youve got to have the food to match. And they dont.

Went a few years ago when it opened and was not impressed. I had a fish dish that was bland and overpriced. Went a few months ago for brunch with a friend and we got mimosas, chicken and waffles, and a chocolate sack (because of course you need dessert after eating brunch)…it was all great! The server was a little on the not friendly side, but hey…people have bad days everyday, and it’s Shreveport for crying out loud. Don’t really ever expect too much these days, and don’t really seem to get disappointed anymore! 🙂 I would def return for the brunch one day.

Overpriced- Don’t recommend. Mediocre food at best. Extremely overpriced!!! The place is nice, with a good atmosphere. I will never go back there to eat, but may go to meet for a drink. My table had fried mozzarella and calamari for appetizers which were decent (~$10.00 each). We then had the crab cakes-extremely small and were not fresh ($26.00), blackened red snapper ($24.00), country fried steak which was mediocre with a horrible box white gravy which ruined any chance it had($15.00), and grilled shrimp salad(~$13.00). We were extremely dissatisfied with the entrees, and this is a group that is not picky. I eat out often and never write reviews for restaurants, but felt that this trip warranted one.

The service was not very friendly and it took forever for us ( my husband and I ) to get our food, atleast 45 min and there wasn’t a lot of people there. The food was flavorless and the prices were pretty high!! Honestly, I’m not a picky eater, but when I say don’t waste your time and money, I’m not kidding!

I went here and the food was disgusting to say the least. I ordered the shrimp they have as an appetizer it was ok but, everything else a total fail. I ordered snapper which had a gamey taste and my husband had pasta. We ordered a salad and came out and we were confused it was spring mix with a tomato cut into fourths? I didn’t know this constitutes as a salad. Also super soupy mac n cheese. When I asked the waiter about it he smirked and said that’s how it is. I still paid full price for a meal that ultimately made its way to the trash. I could have saved myself $60 and went to Olive garden. Never again.
