The Dish They Serve As I Requested It, Oh We’Ll None This Time. I Wanted An Extra Toasted Poboy Wasn’t Served Even Slightly T. Extra crispy Roast beef po-boy. Served barely warm and in toasted.
Best Po Boys in Slidell. I remember when this place opened in the 70’s and was glad to see it still here in 2012. That says a lot. The owner is very friendly, courteous, and accommodating, and grateful for your business. This shop is small, but the Po Boys are fresh with the Best damn Real French Bread you can get. If you love Leidenheimer’s French bread, you’ll love this bread. I don’t think it is Leidenheimer’s, the texture is different and possibly even better. I believe it is a local bakery. Combine that with great fresh Gulf oysters, shrimp, crabs & catfish, hot sausage & sloppy roast beef and you have Real South Louisiana Po Boy. The lettuce is shredded, the tomatoes are tasty and the neighborhood is Audubon. The old Quality Grocery is gone, where I personally used to cut meat & serve from the show case, and Robert is now a Blvd as opposed to a RD, but the flava of neighborhood style still lives in this small little shop. If you haven’t been there ax’ em ta wrap ya one of dem’ po boys in dat white paper Da’lin, and grab ya’self a Barq’s in dat bottle. You’ll be glad you crossed the neutral ground for it…
STILL OPEN!!!!. Someone had said we were closed for business. Well, I would like to clarify we are still in business after 26 years. We are still going strong and love to see our customers. We are open Monday-Friday 10:30-3:00 and 5:00-7:00. We close from 3:00-5:00. You can call in your order at 985-641-4784.
We were driving through the area, from Georgia to Texas & found The Po Boy Factory online, read the reviews and decided to give it a try. We are so glad we did!! The food was awesome, the owners were great …. super nice, made suggestions on what to try. Loved it & already talking about what we will get on our trip on the way back. The cheese fries with gravy are my new favorite! Onion rings were yummy, shrimp po boy was delicious & the roast beef with gravy was super good… just be ready to use a lot of napkins.
CONSISTENTLY THE BEST FOR YEARS ON END. I have eaten here for years. It is the best PoBoy Shop in Slidell. They use Leidenheimer bread–the best in the biz from NOLA. The sandwiches are consistently the best in the area. Take it from a native South Louisiana Coonie–this is as good as it gets in Slidell and even many parts of the City. Pass it up for another and you’ll get less than your moneys worth. And you certainly can do that. Support this locally owned shop. As a local Baker/Chef in the MS Bay area, I travel only here or NOLA for a REAL PoBoy.
Super nice staff. I can’t say that enough. And the po boys, while not the best I’ve ever had, were very good. Excellent shrimp and oysters.
My favorite lunch. I love the food at the Po-Boy Factory. I eat here at least once a week!!When I ask the kids where y’all wanna eat they say the PBF!(we nicknamed it) We love the roast beef with heavy gravy, and a french fri poboy! with a side of fries!and don’t forget to ask for gravy on the side to dip fries! YUMMY!!Gravy to your elbows nothing better
