Delicious Cuban food with a small-town feeling. The owners are former Cubans and the food is evident of that. I always get the half Cuban sandwich with a cup of soup and I’m always happy with it.
It makes everything special when a personality of a place and its food align. We drove in storms for hours, arrived 20 minutes after closing and were spoiled by smiling service and great flavors. Loved the Cubano, the chicken sandwich and the maduros. We left smiling and totally happy. Grateful that everyone was so accommodating in an easy, thoughtful manner. Fabulous experience. Like we were family.
My husband and I really enjoyed the whole experience here. We met here for dinner after work one evening. The waiter was welcoming, friendly and seemed happy to answer any questions about the menu. The food was delicious. It was like comfort food, nourishing and served with warmth in a cozy space.
Over the course of my life I have eaten Cuban food everywhere fromMiami to New York and Que Rico is as good as anywhere. The fact that I drive from Metry to Slidell for the Cuban Tamales topped with Lechon speaks volumes. I have never had a bad thing on the menu and my only critique is that they need to open a location in NOLA.
My family is originally from Puerto Rico and basically this is as close to home we can get. The food is outstanding and the service is A+. Very casual little spot. I always get the roasted pork, white rice and black beans, with some plantains on the side. U can’t go wrong !!!
The absolute best!. Best Cuban restaurant you can find before leaving Louisiana (in Slidell). The food was amazing! All flavorful. Friendly service. Fair price. Small but cute place and very clean. Cuban sandwiches are the bomb. Com! 100% satisfied 🙂
Que Rico. I really enjoy the service and the food. I feel right at home here and the food is so flavorful . Stop in and order the lechon asado, you won’t be disappointed.
