Not very good. I was a walk in customer for take out. I ordered steamed dumplings, sesame chicken and moo shoo pork. I pick up my order and left. The dumplings were doughy and had extremely small filling to dough ratio). The sesame chicken was made of tiny pieces of chicken then breaded and fried. A super sweet sauce (felt like I was eating candied funnel cake with some chicken in there somewhere and a teaspoon of sesame seeds on top. The moo shoo pork was average, except the plum sauce was more like jelly….again very sweet. We ate a little of the food and threw out the rest.
Dirty place nasty food. Spicy mustard watery as milk. Bourbon chicken hard and flavorless. All precooked food, nothing fresh. Dirty restaurant with food on floors and smudged windows. Service is poor and rude. Never again

A good value. This is one of the better take out places in Slidell. The buffets are all crappy around town so when I get Chinese food, I like to come here. They are fast and friendly. The quality of food that i’ve received from Taste of China has always been good. It isn’t the best tasting food i’ve ever had, but it is worth the money to go pick it up. There are a few tables inside as well. I recommend the General Tso’s chicken. Their egg rolls would be better if they did not have red roasted pork in them, but that seems to be the norm in this area and they don’t taste bad. Overall, a good experience.
The workers were friendly, and the food was great. Got a lunch portion of broccoli shrimp with fried rice. Very tasty, portion was more than enough for 4.95 not bad at all.
Great food very tasty, good size portions (the chicken curry is excellent!) and the prices are good too will definitely be back for more!
First time visiting, got some simple things to test it out.The fried rice is not greasy, seasons well enough, but the peas were not cooked. They tasted like they had been dehydratedand not given enough water to plump back up. The rice was allllmost too cooked. But overall, I would get it again. Egg rolls weren’t cooked enough in my opinion. The cabbage inside was a little chewier, and the wonton was still a little chewy, but would still try them a second time to see if they improve. The egg drop soup alone makes this place worth the visit. The taste is just how I like it, tho they skimped on the wontons. I would ask for extra next time. The Chinese donuts were really good and are worth stopping in for. I got them to-go and the packaging leaves something to be desired as they got smashed in a bag and the steam from the hot donuts chunked the powdered sugar, but still good. The blonde girl working the counter was nice, everything was clean. You can see the cooks working the whole time which works fine for me. The lunch menu seems reasonably priced. The portions are just fine. Overall I would recommend it. It’s still new and has a few things that could be improved, just a little more attention to detail on the ingredients but I will eat there again.
