Near to terrible. Ordered Fried Jalapeos and they were still frozen. My large gumbo had about 10 micro small shrimp in it and my friend ordered a chicken burger and fries and the fries tasted like they were hours old and were warmed in the microwave. This was my first and last time to eat here.
The staff was friendly and the service was prompt. I had ordered the catfish devine and asked for fried catfish but the cook mistakenly grilled it, which was fine (I didn’t really need the breading anyway). The waitress was kind enough to ask me if it was acceptable and apologized. Overall the quality of the the food was good and the portions were pleantiful. I left a considerable tip and the total came to $26, of which $6 was beer. I went late in the day and the buffet looked a little old, which was expected.
I won’t say the staff was rude, just very busy. The food was good , deserts better, we were traveling so early dinner crowd was too and this made for all of us who wanted to get right at the first shot at real Cajun food, since crossing the Texas border. My grandson has a restaurant 20 minutesnorth of Shreveport, so I’m familiar with the challenges of the business. I strongly suggest a second shot at this restaurant. The food is fresh !
Good food at a reasonable price. Could use a bit more variety and less fried food. Decent buffet, but again they need more variety. Okay salad bar. Good meats and other products to take home or to family or friends. Waitstaff is decent but not as attentive as it should be. Could be so much better with little effort but I do not see that happening.
Seafood buffet too expensive. The seafood buffet is entirely too expensive for the selections given….at either location. The food doesn’t truly showcase Louisiana’s spices/seasoning either.
Went for boiled shrimp, which the restaurant serves seasonally. The seasoning was excellent, but the shrimp were pretty small and way over-cooked and for what we got—overpriced. The atmosphere was congenial, and our waitress friendly; even so, we probably won’t be back anytime soon.
Went with a party of 6 and were seated quickly even though the place was very busy. All of us ordered different seafood items and were completely satisfied with the food and VERY impressed with our server. We would definitely return.
