Loved the Service. The Food, Not So Much. Our server was friendly, helpful, and even playful with the kids. Our food was bland and seemed quite lacking in meat. We found nothing special about the place.
Slow but very good. The place was only a third full of people, LSU baseball on one TV and Mexican rugby on another. We were seated immediately and the older gentleman also took our drink order which were promptly delivered. Now the bad part, we watched waiters/waitresses and table cleaners go back and forth doing their thing only for some reason no one would stop at our table (only 2 of us). After 15 minutes of my hubby getting angry he had to go up front and ASK SOMEONE TO COME TAKE OUR ORDERS! Things went well after that with service. He ordered combo fajitas (shrimp/beef/chicken) I ordered the large nacho (no description in the menu for that); I ordered cilantro extra (plenty arrived). Remember I said no description of the large nacho’s…I received the same meat as my husbands fajita’s….shrimp, beef and chicken….EXCEPT I AM ALLERGIC TO SEAFOOD! Some of us cannot have cross contamination! Lucky this night it didn’t effect me. I picked out the shrimp! THIS MARKS WHY DESCRIPTION OF THE ITEM is important. THROUGH ALL THAT…WE’LL GO BACK! The food was FANTASTIC! OH there is a bar attached and people were doing a Karaoke session…. OH THE HORROR…. so bring ear plugs…LOL you just might need them.
Best Mexican ! Love it ! Must try. Very happy with the service awesome food soooo tasty ! Feels like at home ! Great cooks all freshly made ! Love the margaritas, drinks so delicious ! Awesome time all karaoke nights ! Everyone is so friendly & place looks clean! will come back,best Mexican & been to many no other like la rumba ! Happy for they to have me there
Will not go back. Service was good, fairly friendly. I think the sauce on the enchiladas was out of a can. The guacamole was chunks of avocado with pico, real juicy. Cost $8 , was not good at all. We tried La Rumba when they first opened and it has not gotten any better. I am glad there are people that like it, so it can stay open and employee’s have a job. But, we will not be back. I love Mexican food, but not sure if this is Tex Mex or what it is.
Must Try La Rumba. Best Mexican food in the Calcasieu much less Sulphur! Great staff, quick service, fresh food and great price for a quality meal….
