Negative, went to enjoy the lunch buffet and found out they stopped having it. Paid more money for the combo plate than the buffet used to cost and got a lot less food.
Delicious Middle Eastern food, fresh, open on Sundays. What a blessing to not have to drive to New Orleans nor Baton Rouge for Middle Eastern food. The food is always fresh and delicious. They have made a HUGE effort to keep the chicken in the Chicken Shawrma plate as fat free as possible, because really, nobody likes chicken fat on their chicken. The Greek burger is a huge portion and you can get their fantastic Greek salad in place of fries. The meat moussaka is very good. The dolmas are the VERY BEST I have ever tried -they beat West and East coast dolmas, hands down. I eat mostly Paleo Diet and I never have a problem getting an extra portion of salad instead of their delicious rice pilaf. The combination plate is the most popular with my family. The gyro meat is perfectly seasoned. The owner is usually there and he does like to make sure you enjoy the food. They do not automatically add pine nuts to the Lebanese iced tea, you have to ask for them. If you have never eaten middle eastern food try the combination plate. If you want whole wheat pita bread, ask for it, otherwise you get white pita bread to go with your hummus. The baklava is traditional -very sweet but good. Only the Thibodaux location is open on Sundays.
WONT MAKE IT. The food there was really good, the downfall is not enough. I was still hungry after the little they give you on a gyros plate. Nothing like Mr. Gyros in New Orleans!!!!!!!!!!
This was my first time eating this type of food an I really enjoyed it. The staff was amazing and the restaurant was clean. I will definitely be going back.
Finally!!!! Thibodaux has a Greek and Lebanese Restaurant!! I have been twice and loved it!! Both times I have ordered the Chicken Shawarma with extra hummus (subbed for rice)and feta salad. Chicken was cooked to perfection! The romaine lettuce in the feta salad was very fresh! I have also ordered the kibby, grape leaves, and falafel appetiziers. All three were also delicious!! Best Lebanese food in the area!!
Great new Place. We went for dinner. It was my parents, my husband, two kids (9 and 13), and myself. We were seated right away even though we were a larger party. Our waitress made sure we never had empty glasses. I ordered the shrimp and steak kabobs, steak medium rare. It was cooked PERFECTLY! Wonderful seasoning, and a large plate of food! The hummus was to die for! My daughter got the burger from the kids’ menu, and enjoyed it. My son got the seafood platter, and ate most of it. The plates are HUGE, esp for the prices! We will def be back! I know other reviews gave it a bad wrap, but they’re new and still learning, and we were quite impressed.
My wife and I ate there for dinner and we really enjoyed it. It was her first time trying Greek food. This just gives us another alternative for dining out.
