Excellent. My husband and I happened to find this little place by accident. We do not live in Thibodaux area anymore and have not for approx. 30 years. We make it down to visit about 3 times a year. We were very pleased and we will come back as often as we can. The Chili Rellenos was the best I have ever had.
Authentic, but enough propaganda to not want to return. Had shrimp chile relleno that was pretty good, lacking on rice with a heap of sauce & refried bean gravy w/ 2 small flour tortillas. Great chips/salsa/queso and fresh guac. The server was cute, about 15 & didn’t know what chile relleno was. This place would be a good go-to Mexican joint but the windows are covered in enormous red white and blue posters with political jargon on them. When I go out to eat, I want to eat, have small talk and enjoy myself. I don’t want a political agenda jammed down my throat. 3 mins in, they also turned off the music (at 7:30 on a Thurs.) which was odd.

An authentic Mexican restaurant down the bayou. I didn’t expect the food to be so good. The very fresh guacamole and cheese dips were served in edible taco salad type flour shells. The salsa was very good. I had the ribeye plate w/ beans and rice and 4 a la cart cheese enchiladas, each with a different sauce: cheese, red, green and mole. The steak was very tender and well seasoned. The enchiladas were very good with all the sauces. The pico de gallo was fresh. Everything was just as it should be. This is one of the better latin food restaurants I have eaten at. And I’ve eaten at a hell of a lot of them. The service was great. This is a must try place for latin food lovers.
Great food… Eat here regularly and I am yet to try something that wasn’t good. Also, if your not a huge Mexican food fan they probably have one of the best burgers in town
Great Mexican Food. I ate there today, every thing was fresh lots of taste. I recommend this restaurant to everyone. My waitress was her first day, she was very nervous, almost mess my order up, I order 25A and she wrote down 29A. But she came back and double check and caught her mistake before she place my order. Over all great dining experiencee. God job guy’s and girls, keep up the good work. I will be back.
Best Mexican food in thibodaux. If you like tex mex, don’t bother. I think people who don’t like this place are just used to crap Mexican food. The tortilla soup is amazing as is the tacos Zacatecas. Chili rellano is also great.
