Casual seafood dining with excellent hush puppies to start. Just like the old days in Baton Rouge. Started with the Duke’d up shrimp. Delicious, but my only complaint of the meal is that they’re served in a cast iron skillet that retains heat. This causes the shrimp to be a little over cooked for me. My wife had the sauted crab claws which were plentiful and delicious. I had the Wicked Tuna. Flavorful, but not the best Tuna I’ve ever had. Overall, it was a good experience that we look forward to repeating. The overall rating on the app is WAY off. When I saw the app ratings were the same as the Golden Arches I was shocked. Someone must have had a bad experience and tried to scuttle Dukes ratings. The service was quite good.

We have been waiting a while for a signature steak & seafood restaurant to open in Watson. This is it! Best steak & seafood around. I have been dozens of times and can’t find anything on the menu that I don’t like. Always fresh, hot and delicious!

Linda and I arrived around 2 pm on Saturday for a late lunch before going antiquing in Denham. Had the hamburger steak and grilled are broiled oysters for an app. The oysters were wonderful and cheesy. A different cut of FF but was fine and the HS was short on gravy. The only thing that went untouched on the plate was a cup of red beans, no rice, just red beans. It didn’t fit. The only complaint was the employees setting up adjacent tables dragging chairs across the floor making an excruciating, blood chilling noise, likenailson a chalk board.Overall, a good experience and I’d go back. Also tried a $7 cup of gumbo (not exciting).

Just finished eating with the family. My girls ordered the kids chicken and the kids shrimp. Large portions on these two meals. My wife and I ordered a dozen of dukes jacked up oysters and a dozen of the charbroiled oysters. Both were tasty with very little grit. Service was very knowledgeable on the menu and prompt with refills.

Wonderful! I am so glad to have a nice place like this up in our area. The food is delicious! It is owned by the owner of Don’s Seafood on Airline (Duke Landry). The grilled stuffed shrimp are like the ones at Don’a are are delicious. The shrimp and crab Bienville is wonderful. The Duke’d Up Shrimp, like the Jacked Up Shrimp at Don’s, are my favorite. They are one of my favorite dishes at ANY restaurant. Service was good and you could tell its new, but hopefully the service will stay just as good. The style of the building is very coastal and classy. The patio is real nice. Pricing is similar to Don’s. I do wish the lunch menu was available on Saturday also. Very happy with my experience and will be back!

The steak fingers are tasty but very greasy. Hush puppies are good. Side salad very good with the house dressing. One of our party had the seafood gumbo and really enjoyed it. I had the NY Strip. It was a decent cut of meat with no flavor. The seafood platter was very large and the fried seafood was very good. I would avoid the steaks and stick with the seafood. Not a bad place to eat.

Delicious seafood best gumbo we have had in a long time! The fish was fried just right and I usually don’t eat fish, and the shrimp were very tender. Great place Duke!
