This is the way Granny used to cook. This place is like going to a family reunion (but without all the unnecessary hugs and kisses). Any of the smothered dishes will make you wish you were sitting on Granny’s porch again. This is what country food is REALLY like.
It doesn’t get any better than this…. I absolutely love this place. Some of the best home style cooking I’ve ever encountered and way better than Cracker Barrell. My wife turned me on to this place and I’ve been addicted ever since. The Monroe location on n18th even has a drive through.My only complaint is that they’re not open on weekends or evenings.
I was told about this restaurant a few months ago went there and was very disappointed. The food was not up to expectations, the service was at best o.k. I guess the Guy cooking was the owner he came out talking and shaking hands, however I guess he did not want to speak to me. He was down right rude. To say the least this is not a place that I will be eating at again. For this kind of food and service I will go to McDolalds, at least you expect them to be rude. But not when I am paying $10 for a burnt Burger on stale bread
Very good place to get good home cooking. Very friendly atmosphere!!! You will love it!
