I expect Gulf shrimp when I go to a Cajun Seafood restaurant, not the Asian shrimp shrimp that was served on my po-boy sandwich. I was very disappointed and have not been back.
It was tough choosing amongst all the wonderful sounding dishes and finally decided on the creole seafood pies, crawfish etoufee and the blackened catfish (w/ fire roasted corn & veggies). I was thoroughly impressed with the bold flavors and the service was impeccable. Trapp’s is a nice quaint restaurant with a great view of the Ouachita river. Worth a visit!
Trap’s is an excellent Cajun style restaurant. The atmosphere is casual, but the food is a step above. The service is quick, and the staff is friendly and professional. All-in-all this is one of the best places in the Monroe area!
