Dining at the Villa. Pretty cool place where the workers’ kids are hanging out and playing while you are dining. Only wish they would spice their food a bit. Then I’d feel like I’m eating again at one of those places across the border and off the beaten path.
Food not good, plus bad to-go packaging. Not only is the food substandard, but when you get something to-go, they put your tortillas DIRECTLY into the food …. WITH THE FOIL! lol! Also, if you order Tres Leches (this is a cold/chilled dessert), they put that into a leaky to-go plastic container, and then put THAT right into the same bag that has all your hot food. So when you get home, you have a nice big puddle of melted dessert covering your all you food. And they do this every…single…time. Even when told not to. Big giant enormous thumbs down.
Yummy Authentic Mexican food with family environment. Their white queso is the best!
Good Value. Had lunch today for the first time at El Tapatio Dos with two friends.Good food for the value – generous helpings. A little soft in the ‘authentic Mexican taste’ department but nothing to whine about.Service was A+. My friends all agree.I’ll be back.
Try Another Place. Had lots of hopes for this family style Mexican restaurant,as we were hungry tourists from Texas. Ordered an enchilda/taco combination. The enchildas had no cheese, the hambuger meat it had inside was oozing with grease and the salsa tasted likethey opened up a can of tomato sauce. My mother ordered chile rellenos, same thing no cheese and they did not remove the seeds from the chile which you’re supposed to do in this dish. We left most of our food on our plate. We are of Mexican descent and know good Mexican food this is not it!
I prefer the one in Lake Charles. But this one is alright.
Amazing!. This is by far the best Mexican restaurant in our area! We love the food and the waiters are really nice, and the wait time for your food isn’t very long either. Way better than the El Tapatio in Lake Charles too.
