I bought a vanilla cupcake for my dog for her birthday. Also bought a couple others for myself. The strawberry taste in the strawberry cupcake was very light and subtle. However, the icing was clearly medicinal. That’s from an overabundance of extract. I never understood when the baking judges said that until I tasted this cupcake. My girl dropped the cupcake and clearly did not want to eat it and kept looking peculiar at me. She LOVES Jo’s Party House cupcakes. I gave away the other cupcake and that ended up being thrown in the trash saying it tasted funny.

The cupcakes are the best I have ever had!!! The ladies who run Mel’s are very nice too! Everything is made fresh the same day. It is a very popular place. If you want something special be sure to call ahead, way ahead.Mel’s is a little hard to locate as it is the last business in the row (turn next to the State Farm sign).
Rude business. What kind of business tells a customer that their business isn’t worth their time? Clearly one that doesn’t care about a persons feelings. Maybe we weren’t worth your time but I’m sure there’s a nice way to say that. RUDE!
Cupcake heaven. Mel’s has the best cupcakes ever, always fresh and delicious! Cakes are beautiful and yummy as are the cookies. Great service, always with a smile.
