The food was amazing. The flavors were mouth watering. Friendly service, reasonable prices. The wait was a little long but I totally forgot all about it when I tasted the food. I can’t wait to go back!

Meh. We went there not long after they opened. The food was okay, but the watershed was that they offered turnip greens that were NOT home cooked. They tasted just like the seasoned turnip greens I can get from a can at LeBlanc’s. We haven’t been back. If you offer greens, serve good, cooked with a lot of pork fat greens; otherwise just don’t sell the darn things! That said, it’s been a couple of years. . .we might try it again, eventually.

Hands down one of my favorite restaurants! Consistent and the best of the best. EVERYTHING that my wife and I have tried has been delicious!10 Nov, 2012Just GEAUX! I had a cup of Seafood Gumbo, potatoe salad, red beans and rice with corn bread. Ceste Bon! It’s priced reasonable. Large portions. Served piping hot. Comfortable casual atmosphere with friendly service. Will be returning very soon to try all the dishes that we seen being delivered to other tables.

The BEST food I have had at any restaurant in a long time. I’m an extremely picky eater, but one of the staff came and asked us if we would like some recommendations, and I’m SO glad that he did!!! I got the stuffed catfish (that was a huge catfish filet, extremely stuffed with incredible seafood cornbread dressing spilling out all over the plate), a side salad, fresh snapped green beans cooked in bacon, and a fresh out of the oven homemade roll like your grandmother used to make. Everything that was brought to the table was just incredible, including the staff! We left completely (almost miserably) stuffed, with empty plates, and WILL be returning! Definite recommendation! 🙂

Fresh food for lunch. I had the Oyster Po-Boy special for lunch with a side salad. The total came to $18 which is my only complaint. I would eat there much more if my budget could accommodate.

Delicious!!. Our family had a delicious meal and a lovely time in Martha’s Bistro. We were tourists on our way from New Orleans up to St Francisville, and we were made to feel very welcome. We loved all the food – 4 of us and we all ordered different things. There seems to not be a bad thing on this menu! Catfish – yum! Meatloaf – wow! Go – you won’t be sorry.

Best fried chicken in Zachary…and probably Baton Rouge, for that matter. The staff is always good to me, and the fare is consistently excellent. I can’t put it any plainer.
