Reviews. For pete’s sake when you people write reviews this is about the FOOD. I don’t care about your sister who is leaving you or your puppy who has to sit in your car. Puppies have to learn to sit in cars, btw.
Wonderful Experience. My sister was going to move across country the next day so we were spending some quality time for the day. We stopped in Green Tea for lunch, not knowing what to expect. The decor was fabulous and the bathrooms clean. Not very many customers, so we felt we had the place to ourselves almost. Our server was quiet and didn’t check in on us much, which I appreciated because we could talk and not feel bothered every 5 minutes. The cuisine was superb, everywhere I go, I have to sample the pad thai and it met expectations. The cost was surprisingly low for such an upscale restaurant, I’m definitely planning another visit.
Horrible experience :/. The food here is excellent, better thank sushiI have has any where.. around here. We order out quite a bit, and spend pretty good money here. I ordered take out the other night and found one of the orders was missing. It was a large order, so it was no big deal. I just went by today (the next day) and told them, receipt and all. Well, four of them stoof there arguing with me that my order was most definitely in there. And would not hear otherwise.Now, the order that I was missing was my own. I get it most often, so I know what it is. If it had been something else and got mixed up somewhere, i probably would not have stood there for twenty minutes arguing that my dish wasn’t there. So, after at least twenty minutes, I walked out, empty handed, and pissed. I will probably not return. And im not one to usually say that. I just really hate the fact that there was no apology or anything! I honestly went in there expecting to get what I had ordered. But there was hardly even a ‘were sorry’.
The sushi was good, for my meal I had a seafood combination that was far over priced for the small amount of food, saturated in oil, far too salty and burned. There aren’t any decent Japanese restaurants in Bangor but anything else would have been better then what was served to me. My wires dinner had no taste to it at all and although it was suppose to come with tempura vegetables it only came with one piece of broccoli. We won’t be going back.
Extremely Poor Service. The food was good but the service is awful. On several different occasions I have gone there and received extremely poor service. On one occasion, I placed an order for pick up and was told it would be ready in ten minutes. I showed up 15 minutes later and went into to pick up my order. I had to leave my 4 month old puppy in the car so I expected the order to be ready. When I entered the hostess/server told me it would be a minute. Then, she kept telling me it would be a minute every 5 minutes for 20 minutes. (The restaurant was empty). While I waited the server, decided her time was better spent singing and semi-dancing in front of the sushi bar, while laughing.. Every time I place and order (the same two items I ask them to include duck sauce.) Most recently, when I called to place my order I asked that they include duck sauce and told them my girlfriend would be picking it up. Then when my girlfriend picked up the sushi she again asked for duck sauce. Every time they seem to not remember and forget to put in the sauce, not matter how often I ask. The most recent time I called and asked to speak to a manager and I was told by the person answering the phone there was not a manager on duty. The person who answers the phone almost always speaks extremely poor English, which makes it even more difficult to address these issues. Honestly there are several other similar restaurants in the area with much better service and just as good food.
My favorite restaurant! I like Chinese and Japanese food and this is really good creative food. The owner and wait staff is very nice. They are opening another restaurant in Ellsworth and I can’t wait!!!! The tuna pancake is awesome as well as the tuna dumplings and the cz roll. Mmm. I have never tried anything there that I didn’t like! The atmosphere is nice too.
People who dont care for the food are use to the local greasy chinese down the street:p. I LOVE green tea im always there with my boyfriend or sisters. The sushi is so yummy and im constantly craving their food (miso soup&sweet potato roll)best chinese&sushi by far<3
