Just your average bbq joint in Bangor with a more local hometown feel than B-dubs. They have 4 beers on tap (one is a very hard cider) and you can drive thru or eat in. The pulled pork sandwich was pretty darn delicious and juicy and served with pickles under the bun as well. The mac n cheese was okay, but not my favorite. Their coleslaw has a light-mayo base with incredible flavor and was definitely my favorite. The wings were on the sweet side with a hint of pepper; I definitely recommend sticking to B-Dubs if you’re craving wings. The apple crisp dessert cup was amazing and I wish I had more than just a scoop of it! Overall assessment: if you’re in the mood for some good ‘ol bbq served fast and a friendly chat with the staff, Moe’s will take care of you!

Excellent BBQ. Finally made it on a day the parking lot wasn’t absolutely full! and there is a reason for this…It was worth the effort. The food is excellent and the owner was definitly in the store checking to make sure all was right with our dinners. The ribs were fall the the bone delicious and the chicken wings were done to perfection. Loved the coleslaw and the sweet potato jo jos had me wishing I had more. Ordered the Large ribs (6) thinking they would be the smaller ribs with just a little meat not realizing they were going to be a meaty as they were….I could have been totally satisfied with just the 3, but my husband was there to be the hero and finish what i couldn’t. We will be back 🙂
Best in Bangor BUT….. ….it has no competition. Food was good but nothing truly exceptional. Beans were bland. No brisket although they did have turkey legs (I didn’t get them). Chicken was tasty. Pork was ‘normal’. Staff was truly wonderful and if it’s your first time, they’ll go over everything with you since the menu is somewhat confusing. I’ll be back – but not too often. Driving to Winterport would be my choice.
Electronic smoker? Yes, but the food was incredible. The sides were absolutely delicious and the cornbread was top rate. Do not hesitate choosing this joint.
Good food!. We went opening week and they have great BBQ. It was busy and the staff were very friendly. The kids enjoyed their meals and we thought there was a great choice of sides, something for everyone. It’s a bonus that they serve sweet tea! We are from Texas so it is nice to have good food that reminds us a little of home. We’ll definitely be back for more.
