We are Allens regulars, year after year. It’s a great place to source lobster for in-home dining. It’s a great source, too, for soft-shell clams (steamers) and quahogs. We LOVE places like this. A helpful staff eager to please. Great quality. Reasonable prices.
On a visit to friends in Harpswell. Before driving home stopped at Allen’s and loaded up on lobster at $5.50 per pound for soft shells. Allen’s is open early in the morning and they have plenty of lobsters.
As others have noted, this isn’t a restaurant. It’s a lobster pound run by locals, which is why we like it. Albert, Holly etc. are fabulous. Lobsters are always good.
No eatery here but nice people and great prices on lobster and crabs and other fresh caught delights of the sea
Always reliable, and one of the few that takes Visa. Took time to pick up lobsters the size I wanted.
