Don’t let the name mislead you. They have more than a normal general store. We ordered 4 large pizzas for 12 people – and had a total of 4 pieces left – everyone loved it! Very good.
We had a really satisfying breakfast. The staff was friendly and service was quick. It also had a good selection of General store provisions such as, food, beer, etc. We would go again should we return to Bailey.
Bailey Island is quite small with few conveniences so this place is a life saver. Great for breakfast and lunch with wonderful (and relatively inexpensive lobster rolls.) They stock all the essentials, including beer, wine and liquor. Friendly staff and fair prices.
Everyone was very pleasant on this breakfast stop. Food was decent and a great price for a quick breakfast on our way back from the Giants Stairs.
WE had two Lobsters to go,came with chips $15.oo each. I sorry im from Maine these tasted very flat as if they were made from frozen lobster.I added salt and pepper to them they were just ok.
The Bailey Island General Store (BIGS) is well worth supporting. Not only will you find almost everything you need, there’s a delightful café inside, and you’ll be supporting a local business on this delightful island.
