Years ago we tried Buck’s original location and had a fairly negative experience. I am very glad that, after these many years, I gave this place another chance. We were given excellent service and the food was superb. I have eaten BBQ from New Orleans to Madawaska, and I have to say this was really in the top ten, maybe even top five. Personally I loved their sauces, especially the house sauce. It is more sweet than hot as were all of the others. This place is very close to where we live, and we eat out way too much. I can see leaving a lot of money here.

This place is kinda a joke. The naked part of their name comes from the fact that all their BBQ comes w/o sauce. It’s cooked dry and is dry. Dress your own at the table. The sauces are mediocre at best. Food is medioocre all around. All deserts are heavy gut bombs. Quite refreshing after a plate of meat. The menu is a nonsensical mystery perhaps created by an anti social acid head. Staff however is great.

Bucks BBQ. I went to Bucks around 5pm on a Wednesday night. As soon as I walked in the door I was greeted by a very pleasant hostess. We were sat immediately. Once we were sat we had our server greet us and she took a beverage order. I knew immediately that I wanted a margarita! The bucks gold margarita! Its just the right blend or tequila and sour mix. I also let her know that I wanted some fried pickles. (one of my favorites there) and she let me know that they had changed pickles and that I would like these better than the others. I was curious if they could get better and, to my surprise, they had! Same great homemade breading and dipping sauce…new tangy pickle! I was a fan. I also ordered the quesadilla, which I hadn’t had before, and it was fantastic! Nice light meal which I was looking for. Our server was very sweet..prompt…and attentive. The atmosphere was relaxing and comfortable. A very nice meal and I recommend this place to everyone I talk to!

YUMMM. I went to bucks bbq in windham (the new location) to celebrate a birthday. It was a perfect place to go for good food and service. Lindsey was our waitress and she was very attentive and knew a lot about the menu. It was nice to be able to ask questions and the waitress could answer all of them. I ordered the grilled sirloin salad with their housemade tomato garlic dressing. It was DELICIOUS! The dressing was a perfect mix to the salad. The steak was cooked perfectly and all the vegetables really made the dish go well together. My boyfriend ordered the jalapeno pork and cheese sandwich with sweet fries as his side. The sandwich was piled high with pork and topped with cheese and fried jalapenos for an extra kick! We would both highly recommend this sandwich! The sweet fries were sprinkled with a brown sugar that made the fries that much better. The overall experience was great. Food, service, people, music, and drinks.

Love it. Best BBQ in Maine. Great sauces and the greens are a perfect side dish. UPDATE Oct 2018: Still good but there are numerous BBQ places now popping up all over Maine, so the Best maybe in question?

Is it wrong to lust after this food?. LOVE THIS PLACE! This is a place for cravings, real smokey flavors, Fresh tasting, cool people and they seem to be having a blast — everyone, customers and employees. I need to eat here at least once a week and I live an hour away.
